EMERGENCY FIRST AID ON THE ROAD
This module covers basics in first aid emergencies. Includes CPR, Airway and Breathing problems, circulation, wounds , bleeding, burns and medical conditions. The aim of this module are to create awareness of the different types of injuries that can be sustained and how to deal with them. To demonstrate and practice CPR, gaining confidence and competence. Learning how to promote recovery and presereve life.
DRIVER ESSENTIALS & TACHOS
This module covers Employee Rights, Drivers Hours, Driver Fatigue, EU & Domestic Rules, Tachographs, Daily Vehicle Checks and Traffic Regulations. The aim of this module is to enable drivers to understand the law with regards to Driver Hours and to ensure that drivers adhere to EU & Domestic Rules and Regulations. To create awareness of the dangers of driver fatigue. Understanding how tachographs work, how to enter data correctly and knowing the consequences to you and your employer if not used correctly.
DRIVER & VEHICLE PROCEDURES
This module covers Tunnel Awareness, SAFed, Driving Tachniques, Motorway Driving, Speed Limits, Highway Codes, Road Side Checks and Traffic Accident Procedures. The aim of this module is to gain good tunnel awareness and follow correct procedures, to display good driving techniques to help improve the economy, to be aware of highway codes, speed limits and to follow correct procedures for dealing with Traffic Accidents.
SAFE LOADING PROCEDURES
This module covers the procedures for loading a vehicle safely, forces at work, securing loads, Inertia, loss of loads, controlling balanced and unbalanced force, weather conditions, dealing with aggressive drivers, fuel efficient driving and pre driving checks. The aim of this module to create awareness of situations that may arise on the road and identify their causes. Understanding how to deal with them as they arise and what can be done to avoid them occuring. Being able to deal with unforseen occurrances.
DRIVER SAFETY & SECURITY
This module covers Safety and Security of both driver and vehicle – Vehicle theft, Prevention and Best Practice, DVSA Stop Checks, Health & Safety, Work Equipment, RIDDOR, Daily Checks and Driver Fatigue. The aim of this module is to ensure that you are aware of how health and safety effects you as a driver. To create awareness of how vehicle thefts can happen and the social engineering techniques used by would be thieves. You will understand and identify the causes of tiredness/fatigue and driver tactis used to ensure that you can avoid these.
